What is this resource and how should I use it? How can it be most engaging?
This Writing STAAR Prep PDF includes 100 STAAR-like multiple choice Editing questions (with answer key) suitable for 4th grade Writing in the state of Texas. While this resource can be used as task cards (DO NOT RECOMMEND), it is much more engaging and useful as a whole group bellringer/exit ticket. In my own class, after students had written their answers down on a notecard or sticky note, I would have a student volunteer teacher come up and break down each answer choice and provide the logic for why or why not to choose that particular answer choice.
