What educators are saying

This packet of activities was perfect! It went along nicely with our curriculum and helped reinforce those concepts we have been learning. I used it both as class work and morning work!
This was the perfect supplement to my district-provided curriculum's unit on equal parts. The activities were meaningful and not just "fluff" or busy work. After using this resource, my students had a deeper knowledge of fractions and showed a lot of growth in their assessments. Thank you!

• All of the included activities cover Common Core Standard 1.G.A.3:

Partition circles and rectangles into two and four equal shares,

describe the shares using the words halves, fourths, and quarters,

and use the phrases half of, fourth of, and quarter of. Describe

the whole as two of, or four of the shares. Understand for these

examples that decomposing into more equal shares creates

smaller shares.

• I’ve included activities that focus mainly on the above

requirements. Please note that this standard does not require

numerical representation of the fractions or knowledge of any

other fractional parts aside from halves or fourths. I’ve included

critical thinking and problem-solving activities to help students

deepen their understanding of these concepts.

Please let me know if you have any questions!
