Description
Remembering and mastering 2-D shapes (including identifying 2-D shapes and identifying or remembering attributes or characteristics of 2-D shapes) take ongoing review and repetition.
Do you need a way to review 2-D shapes and attributes of 2-D shapes (including types of angles and lines?) This resource contains 20 pages of 2-D shapes review for 4th and 5th graders.
About the Printable Shape of the Day Practice
One page can be used daily for a 20 day review, or one page can be used weekly to last 20 weeks.
On the page, the students are presented with the picture of a 2-D shape. They must name the shape in the most specific terms, list other names for the shape, determine if the shape has parallel or perpendicular lines, determine what type of angles the shape consists of, create a hierarchy with the shape, and write a true and false statement about the shape.
I have included a blank page so you can extend the review further. Also, you can target the specific shapes that the students consistently struggle with by continuing to review them.
This resource includes quadrilaterals, triangles, regular polygons with more than 4 sides, and irregular polygons. This resource also contains a page for a kite shape.
About the Digital Shape of the Day Practice
This resource also includes a digital version with the SAME content as the printable version. The digital 2-D shapes review has been reformatted to horizontal and is designed for use with Google Slides.
See the video preview for more details about the digital 2-D shape review.
