Description

140 differentiated word problems for addition and subtraction (2nd grade). This is the ultimate packet for math problem solving up to 100. It is easy to differentiate - includes NO regrouping & WITH regrouping for every word problem.

On each sheet, kids will practice solving story problems using various strategies:

- write an equation and solve it

- use a 100 chart

- draw base ten blocks

- use an open number line

- write an addition/subtraction sentence

- write the final answer

Here are the matching task cards which would be great for centers:

Addition and Subtraction Word Problem Task Cards for 2nd Grade

No prep needed! They are ready to print and go. Print these full size or reduce the size so that kids can put them in their math journal.

You can use these as morning work, homework, or classwork. You can also laminate them or put them in sheet protectors so that kids can use them as a math center, too:)

Also, each sheet is labeled at the top, right corner so that it's easy for you to find exactly what kind of math problem you're looking for.

As a bonus, I have included regrouping vs no regrouping & 3 addend addition...so you can easily use these to differentiate the same standard for various kids!

Great to use for advanced 1st graders and also great for struggling 3rd graders!
