Description

This is a math strategy book that I created for my special education students in the 3rd and 4th grade. Basics include a hundred's chart, a multiplication chart, and place value. Other strategies include a visual for rounding numbers, using a multiplication matrix and ladder division, a visual for factors, UPSL strategy, words and phrases for when to add, subtract, multiply and divide; visuals for range problem strategies - envelope and butterfly strategy; fraction bars; formula and visuals for area, perimeter and volume; elapsed time T-chart; visual benchmarks for units of measurement (customary and metric) for length, capacity and weight; visual for capacity - Big G. This book does not include instructions on how to use each strategy, such as ladder division; if you are not familiar with one of the strategies in this guide, I would be happy to explain how it is used.
