About the 4th Grade Math Assessments
This resource includes a one-page quick assessment for 4th grade math skills and standards (one for each common core standard)
There are a total of 46 4th grade math tests included.
Ideally, math assessments should be given in a way that does not take up much of your instruction but does allow you to see how your students are performing with the math skills you are teaching.
These 4th grade math assessments are quick and to the point, allowing you to see exactly what your students' mastery levels are without taking up your valuable math instruction time.
Common core standards are not listed on the actual assessments but an alignment is included to help you quickly find the assessment for the standard you are assessing.
Self-Assessment Feature
Each assessment also includes a section for the student to self-assess their knowledge of the skill.
Using the 4th Grade Math Assessments
You can use these math assessments on a weekly basis, at the end of a week teaching a specific standard.
For daily assessments, I recommend using 4th Grade Math Exit Slips (click here to see those).
The exit slips and these assessments allow me to effectively assess my students in an ongoing manner that drives my instruction without taking too much time away from it.
Bonus Data Collection and Tracking Printables
To help you make the most use of the assessment data, I have also included data tracking sheets. You will find:
- a student checklist for each domain to track your students' mastery and notes about their progress
- a class checklist (2 versions) for each domain for you to keep track of all of your students’ mastery on one page
