4th Grade Narrative Writing Resource Earth Day Smarter Balanced Test Prep CCSS

Students will read two informative articles, answer questions about the articles, and write a narrative about a cleaning up their environment. This resource is aligned to the common core narrative writing standards, specifically 4th grade, but would be a great activity for 3rd-5th grades. The articles are found on the free website, ReadWorks.org, and I have listed the titles of the articles in this resource. You could use any informative texts about Earth Day, recycling, etc... to complete this assignment. This resource includes the writing prompt, directions to students, directions to teachers, and six sheets of decorative writing papers. Also included is the list of common core narrative writing standards for 3rd-5th grades. Enjoy!
