What educators are saying

I am using this resource with a student who has an IEP goal of learning new vocabulary words this year. It will be a great resource to help this student to better understand the meanings of new words.
I use this as a bellringer. Thank you for such a well put together packet. Easy to plan and students love it.

Here's how this Word of the Week Academic Vocabulary Bundle Works:

Monday: Introduction to the word of the week, including part of speech

Tuesday: Define the word & create a non-linguistic representation (visualize)

Wednesday: Identify synonyms & antonyms for the vocabulary word

Thursday: Apply student knowledge through paragraph writing

Friday: Assess student understanding & provide application opportunities

Here's why teachers love these novel units...

I absolutely love this resource! It's a quick way to introduce a word with a variety of language arts conventions. Brilliantly made and easy to incorporate!

My students love vocabulary! We use this in a multi-grade classroom and I do more than one word a week because I would like to do both 4th and 5th grade by the end of the year. The kids have grown so much in vocabulary already and love to use the words whenever they can.

Vocabulary is an area of concern for my students. I really like the way this is organized in a format to practice the same word each day for a week. I also appreciate how students are learning and applying the words in several different ways. Highly recommend.

Academic vocabulary is so important for my ESL students and this resource is ready-made with very little prep on my part. It is a lifesaver as it is easy to understand and concrete enough for ESL students. Thank you!
