Description

Terms Covered: Conflict, Resolution, Genre, Character Motives, Theme, Sequencing, and Plot Analysis.

It is time to review those comprehension terms and assess whether or not your students can apply them to a real-world setting. Here is an interactive way to do so. Students will review key comprehension terms and their meanings as they view the film, "The Wizard of Oz." There are pre and post activities that include vocabulary, short answer questions, and a plot analysis. Quickly engage your students as they watch this classic film and provide you with quick feedback as to their knowledge of the following concepts: conflict and resolution, genre, analyzing character motives, sequencing, and inferencing. This activity is organized into 4-5 sessions (each session around 30 minutes).
