You can use the reading passages to show your readers examples of each writing style and get a comprehension grade. Each passage has at least one example of the style per paragraph. The passages are silly made-up stories to keep your students engaged while noticing each figurative language style.
One way to see if your readers understand each reading style is to highlight the similes, metaphors, idioms, hyperboles, personification, alliteration, and onomatopoeia examples in the text.
