Here's how this Word of the Week Academic Vocabulary Bundle Works:

Monday: Introduction to the word of the week, including part of speech

Tuesday: Define the word & create a non-linguistic representation (visualize)

Wednesday: Identify synonyms & antonyms for the vocabulary word

Thursday: Apply student knowledge through paragraph writing

Friday: Assess student understanding & provide application opportunities

Here's why teachers love these vocabulary warm-ups...

I used this resource for the entire year with my 6th grade students. I enjoyed the complexity of the words and found that by the end of the week, students had really gained knowledge on each vocabulary word and could explain its meaning.

This resource is perfect for teaching vocabulary. I love how straightforward it is and how much LESS prep/planning I have to do. Love how the vocabulary word gets taught in many different contexts.

Perfect Morning Work resource. It is nice to be able to give my kids work at their current levels in order to strengthen skills before challenging them. It allowed my students to start a routine and allowed me to get everything I needed together and check in with my kids before actually starting class!

I've been looking for ways to help my students with their vocabulary and this resource definitely helped them to learn definitions, parts of speech, etc.. It gives them consistency and they know what to expect. Thank you.
