Description

Earth History: Geologic Time Scale PowerPoint. A summary of the eras in Earth's geologic history with slides on the various time periods of planet Earth. Precambrian Eon: Azoic (Hadean and Archean), Proterozoic Eras; and the Phanerozoic Eon: Paleozoic, Mesozoic, Cenozoic, and Neozoic Eras.

Each era is also divided into periods and epochs:

Paleozoic: Cambrian, Ordovician, Silurian, Devonian, Mississippian, Pennsylvanian, and Permian

Mesozoic: Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous

Cenozoic: Paleocene, Eocene, Oligocene, Miocene, Pliocene, Pleistocene, and Holocene to the rise of humans to present.

Discusses a new era and a new period brought about by human impact on the planet...the Neozoic and the Anthropocene. This resource is a great addition to your Earth Science unit. It includes a timeline of Earth’s history, a printable time scale reference sheet, a geologic time scale football field activity for visual and spatial learners, and a worksheet on relative and absolute time scale. At the end, there is a short quiz with key that you can print out or do as a class for fun.

Use PowerPoints in video conferencing or Zoom for remote learning. Share with your students in OneDrive and Teams. You can also upload to Google Drive and save as Google Slides, and it will automatically convert for use in Google Classroom. It is editable and easy to adjust If necessary. View in Slideshow mode.
