Description
Note: Some of my products have some “out there” ideas. If it doesn't seem like something you'd like (or is confusing to you), then don't buy it. Everyone's classroom is unique and while these lessons work within my classroom, that may not be the case in another’s room. In this case, some of these games are rated M for Mature audiences. Teachers should be aware of its rating, however, none of the clips I’ve used from my play throughs depict any of these issues. I’ve trimmed down my videos, so that they are comparable to a PG-13 movie.
Here at Wake Up Sunshine, I'm very proud to bring my newest creation, A Glance At Horror Fiction. Within these quick activities, students use a variety of my gameplay clips to analyze some of the key aspects of horror fiction.
Why horror fiction? Why not? As I do this around Halloween, my students get a kick out of a little fright. Moreover, they love creating their own monster and its correlating myth as the final project.
Note: If you feel your students would be sensitive to some "scary" elements, then DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT!

I'm able to complete this entire learning experience in a single week. However, it is completely up to the educator how they wish to spread out the learning activities. Whatever works best for you, have at it.
If you're a teacher willing to stretch the boundaries to engage today's students, then A Glance At Horror Fiction may be an experience worth trying to intrigue your students in the classroom!
