A great way to practice writing in written English from ASL sentence structure. Each color code cards represents Nouns with the color coded words that represents person, place, thing and animals.
Included in this set are 5 basic sentence structure visual cues pages. (Keep in mind this is very basic structure sentences, you will have to explain the conjunction, the ending i.e. ing, ed, s etc, preposition and so forth) This is a great way for student to visualize how ASL sign sentence can change into Written English using the appropriate basic structure.
In this set the red cards represents nouns with 4 different color fonts that represents parts of the nouns.
Blue words represents thing
Red words represents a person
Purple words represents an animal
Green words represents a place.
This is a great visual way for the students to understand that there are 4 different types of noun and helps them understand how that fit in a sentence and how they create the structure of a sentence using the appropriate card.
Student will pick the color codes cards in piles, in that order using ASL sentence first to create their own sentence that they sign. Once they pick their cards from the ASL sentence then they put the cards down to the English word order and then add the article/pronouns, endings, and other verbs that they need to create their written English sentence. Students can create tons of different sentences and practicing ASL structure then switch to Written English sentence structure. Students can write the sentence with the worksheets provided in this set.
