ASL to Written English Guided Reading and Writing-Camping

Most Deaf and/or hard of hearing students struggle with Written English and they need more practice. This package provides two subjects- reading and writing both in ASL and Written English. The theme for this is about camping perfect for summer extended school year or summer school.

**Writing**

There are 5 different levels of writing for students to assist with their writing and expand their sign word bank. Including 6 flash cards of the following words- tent, girl, boy, marshmallow, fire, and bear (provided two different levels, one with assist of picture with sign and words and the other with just sign and words).

-Level 1- cut and paste worksheet

---Level 2- Labeling the pictures by writing from the sign word bank worksheet

Level 3- Labeling the pictures by writing without any sign word bank worksheet

Level 4- Labeling the pictures by writing without any sign word bank and then create a sentence using one or two of the words from the pictures worksheet

-Level 5- Student can write several sentences from the picture worksheet

**Reading**

Mini Reading books (3 levels)

-Level 1- black and white with Written English sentence along with sign language in ASL sentence structure

-Level 2- black and white book with color coded sentence that represent SVO (subject-verb-object sentence structure) along with sign language in ASL sentence structure

-Level 3- black and white book with just Written English sentence structure only no ASL included.

Adapted books- (2 levels)

-Level 1- color coded adapted pieces with sign language that represents SVO (subject-verb-object sentence structure)

-Level 2- adapted pieces that includes sign language but no color coded provided.

**Sign language Sentence Strip**

24 sentence building strips both in black and white and color coded to represent SVO (subject-verb-object) in ASL. This will help students practice more and visualize how the sentence is put together.

-ASL comprehension worksheets.

2 different levels of comprehension worksheet. One is worksheets with 6 question that includes sign language and Written English for the questions and the other is just the Written English for the 6 questions.
