    Description

If your students love to chat when you welcome them back after spring break and other holidays, leverage their excitement with these meaningful, NO PREP ELA writing activities for after every holiday! This bundle includes no-prep writing activities for after spring break, Thanksgiving, Easter, Back to School, Halloween, Winter Break, & a generic long weekend break to cover the whole school year! This bundle lets you welcome back students after spring break & every break with ZERO stress about your day's ELA writing activity- just print and go! 3 activities/writing lessons for each break/holiday (for a total of 21 activities).

I've found allowing students to share their exciting break & holiday stories during these writing lessons makes for a MUCH more focused and productive rest of the day that we return to school, and they really get into this writing topic! :)

For the day after each holiday or break, this bundle includes:

    • Find Someone Who: Students first talk to their classmates about their vacations to complete a "Find Someone Who" activity.
    • Venn diagram: As partners, students compare & contrast their breaks using a Venn diagram.
    • Comparison/Contrast Essay: Students use the Venn diagram as their planning to write a 2 paragraph essay comparing and contrasting their breaks (either independently or as partners). When finished, students love to share their writing!

This bundle includes ELA activities for the day after Thanksgiving, Spring Break, Halloween weekend, Easter, Winter Break, Summer Vacation, & a long weekend break.)
