Algebra 1 - Performance Task - Young Earth Creationism - Common Core

This project asks students to consider how population might have grown if the Biblical theory of young earth creationism is true (Earth is between 6,000 and 10,000 years old). The main topic from algebra is exponential growth. Students would benefit from the use of a graphing calculator throughout this project due to the large numbers and modeling problems. This project is one you definitely will not find in an Algebra Book and is meant to apply algebra to a real life debate. Enjoy.
