Description

This foldable is designed for interactive math notebooks.

Here is the link of me teaching this lesson using this resource on YouTube! Feel free to use this as additional support for your students.

This foldable walks students through the three types of values the discriminant can be.

On the front of the three tabs, the words Positive & Two, Zero & One, and Negative & No are used with a text that has no filler so that students can color-code those words together and associate them easily.

Under each tab is an example of a quadratic function in which the discriminant will product that many solutions. Each function needs to be written in standard form, the values of a, b, and c should be listed on the side, ready to be plugged in!

Students will find the discriminant on the left-hand side and then calculate the actual solutions using the Quadratic Formula on the right-hand side.

The answer key is included.
