What educators are saying

I have these hanging up in my room to give my students a visual of ancient history. They look great!
Absolutely love these posters! I refer to them quite a lot in my ancient world civilizations class and i have a little star that i move as we begin learning about a new civilization. Gives the students a great timeline of our course and a preview of important concepts.

Description

New Ancient Civilizations posters that I made for my 6th grade classroom! They include 2-5 vocabulary terms per poster, so they would be great for word walls as well! These are PDF files so they can be printed on standard sized paper, or blown up larger while retaining quality (I did mine at Office Depot). This wouldn't have been possible without the amazing artists credited below!

Please see the preview for a detailed list of all vocabulary terms, and a preview of all the posters.

Posters:

  1. Early Humans- Paleolithic Age
  2. Early Humans- Neolithic Age
  3. Ancient Mesopotamia
  4. Ancient Egypt
  5. Ancient Israel
  6. Ancient India
  7. Ancient China
  8. Ancient Greece
  9. Ancient Rome
  10. Bonus: Mini-poster of all civilizations, similar to preview- great for notebook inserts!

In this PDF file you will 2 versions of this poster set.

· Version 1 Posters with no dates

· Version 2 Posters with BC/AD dates

A quick note about the dates- dates for ancient civilizations are pretty hard to pin down. It really depends on what textbook you’re using! The dated versions are the dates we use in my class based on how they are formatted in our textbook. I made an undated version so that wouldn’t be a barrier for anyone who wanted these posters up in their room.

How I use them- I have been searching for ancient civilization posters FOREVER. When I came across the clipart that I ended up using, I knew I had to make my own. I love being able to refer back to our #ANCIENT CIV bulletin so that students don’t “forget” what we’ve already studied. I’m excited to have it up at the beginning of the year next year so it can get the kids excited about what we’ll learn. Most of my 6th grade babies walk in the door saying “huh? What’s a civilization?” – I am pumped about these posters!

CREDITS: The AMAZING artists listed below take credit for all of the beautiful artwork in these posters. So thankful for artists who work hard to make education come alive!
