Description

Animal Diorama and Research Report - Project Pack!

This Animal Diorama and Research Report is such a fun and engaging at-home project for your students!  They will learn about an animal by creating a diorama of the animal's natural habitat.

Students will research an animal of their choice, complete an Animal Research Report poster, organize and write a research report about their animal, and then present their project to the class.

This project pack includes everything you need to do this with your students, including:

  • An introductory presentation to explain the project to your students and show them step-by-step instructions
  • Directions for project and instruction sheet for students in English and Spanish
  • Animal Research Report page printable for students to complete with facts and illustrations
  • A letter to introduce the project to parents in English and Spanish
  • Student Templates and Graphic Organizers for Animal Research Report (with and without sentence frames)
  • Student Rubric for Animal Research Project printable
  • Grading Rubric for Animal Research Project printable for Teachers
  • Presentation Outline Page to help students guide their oral presentation
  • Editable pages are also included, as well as Google Slides to make it easier to present the project to your students

Your students will love creating their dioramas with their families.  It’s such a great way to get parents involved!  I usually send the diorama instructions home at least a month before they are due, to give families plenty of time to get their supplies and have time to work on the project at home.  I usually do all of the research and report writing in class, but you may decide to send the entire project home.

Prep is quick and easy... the student presentation can be shown on Google Slides with your projector.  All printable pages are ready to go.  Editable pages are easy to use and print as needed.

TEACHERS LIKE YOU SAID…

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Carolyn H. says, “This has been a life saver for me.  I love how well organized it is, and a selling factor for me was the examples of HOW TO do everything for the students that I could show them exactly what to do.  The directions are so clear- and I love the rubrics, especially the photo example on the student rubric.  This is very well put together, and has many useful ways I can use it.”

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Heather L. says, “This was an amazing resource for my students who were learning how to do an animal research project. I was able to also upload it for online learners.”

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Erica H. says, “Organization was great and it was very specific on how to complete the assignment. I was able to have my students complete the assignment at home as a distance learning assignment. I had some awesome projects and was able to easily grade with the rubrics.”

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ashley S. says, “I've used this for the last few years and my students love it! They are always so engaged and encouraging during our sharing time. I love seeing the dioramas my students create.”
