What educators are saying

Thank you do much, students will be taking this home to work on for the summer!, They are so excited to complete it.
I used these as a group project to teach the rest of the class what they learned about their habitats. The students enjoyed putting these lap books together and becoming experts on a specific habitat.

    Description

Are you studying animal habitats with your students? These lapbook research projects are a great way to showcase what they have learned about habitats and the animals that live in them. It includes materials to create 6 interactive habitat lapbook crafts: arctic, deserts, grasslands, wetlands, rainforests, and oceans.

Combine the lapbooks with your district curriculum, picture books, videos, or websites such as National Geographic Kids or PebbleGo to help your students learn about each animal ecosystem.

    You receive:

    • Habitat quick fact sheets for teacher reference
    • Photographs and teacher directions for completing the projects.
    • Each habitat includes 6 interactive research projects. The projects vary a little but generally include:
      • Where the habitat is located around the world
      • Plants
      • Animals
      • Food Chains
      • Climate
      • Features
      • Interesting Facts

All pages are print and go! You will need a large piece of construction paper for each student to put their books together.

Each animal habitat project includes enough content to last a week, or longer! So be sure you have plenty of time. I recommend taking multiple days to learn and write about each ecosystem. A teacher quick fact sheet is included to help you guide your students during the project.

Your students will love creating the lapbook crafts with folds, flaps, and pockets. They'll be so proud of the books they create. They are a great way for them to be able to review and share with others what they have learned.

    The projects are perfect for:

    • culminating projects for each animal habitat
    • small group research
    • project based learning
    • independent research project for gifted and talented students
    • homeschool learning
