Description

Visit here for complete details.

This packet is filled with information on Eric Carle the author/illustrator.

That information is followed up with literature activities and crafts using 7 of his stories!

Eric Carle and the books used in this packet are a terrific "springboard" for teaching reading and writing strategies and skills.

Each story has writing, word work, comprehension and critical thinking activities to follow the story.

Vocabulary cards are colorful and can be used in a center, posting or read the room.

A craft accompanies each book using paint, sponges, water colors and tissue paper. The crafts are simple and perfect for posting on bulletin boards or writing.

Many of the stories also contain informational text and graphic organizers for recalling the information and then reporting.

A Skill Center is also available for each animal or insect based on a language skill.

The packet includes information on Eric Carle and an opportunity for students to create a class book on their favorite stories.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar

The Grouchy Ladybug

Mr. Seahorse

The Mixed Up Chameleon

The Foolish Tortoise

Rooster Off To See the World
