PEDAGOGY

Get students writing and talking right away during the first week of school, already working on those writing production and speaking/listening standards in addition to character ed.

HOW CAN I USE IT?

• get-to-know-you activities for the first day or first week of school
• bell work or morning work for the first week of school
• character education about respecting each other

WILL IT WORK FOR ME?

These activities were originally designed for 2nd grade students. However, all will work for surrounding grade levels. Most of the activities require a bit of reading, so they may have to be supplemented or modified for younger students (read aloud, etc.)
