Basic Playbill Template - Editable - Printable - Google Drive File

Need a low cost solution to creating a playbill for your theater production or an easy template for a playbill design assignment?

I have been using this easy playbill layout for years and it is easy to adapt to any play! It actually comes with TWO versions of the template. One version is for a front/back half-page playbill and the other is for a front/back one-page foldable playbill. I also included some samples to show you how I have used it for a couple of the plays I wrote and produced.

You can assign your theater students to create a playbill for your upcoming production or you can use this resource to have your class create a playbill based on the text you are reading.

“The Star-Crossed Lovers of New York” is - almost - a 1920s mafia version of William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. However, this is not your typical retelling of the famous play because this one takes its own twists and turns with influences from Shakespeare’s other plays, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Hamlet.

The mafia life is just that--a life, for life. Everyone has a role to play and the rivalry between gangs is vicious. Some will stop at nothing to get what they want. Nikki Gambino is Boss Frank Gambino, Sr.’s daughter, and she is tired of the control the mafia has on her life. Dominic Rossi is from a rival gang, and he recently took over as boss of the Rossis since his father was killed. What will happen when love, power, control, and allegiances shift within these gangs?
