What educators are saying

This was a great resource to add to our workshop that had to deal with the Bill of Rights. You would be surprised at how many students forget what they learned in 7th grade!
The materials were thoughtfully curated, engaging for my students, and saved me so much prep time. Grateful for such a quality resource.

Description

This Bill of Rights Scenarios Analysis activity includes abbreviated versions of the first 10 Amendments to the US Constitution for students to read and a set of short scenarios that they must then analyze.

Each scenario describes a violation of one of the Bill of Rights in a way that students can identify with and understand. They then refer back to the Bill of Rights to match it to the correct one. Finally, students answer a question regarding their opinion on whether our rights are absolute or can change over time.

This makes for a great warm up or homework assignment after covering the Bill of Rights. An answer key is included as well as talking points for the concluding short answer question.

This resource now also includes a link to a Google Forms version as well! This version has students analyze the Bill of Rights online then evaluate the scenarios through an editable Google Form quiz!
