What educators are saying

I love these activities! They're great for when you have a few "dead" minutes that you need to fill up with something that's not just fluff.
These are so fun! We use them in those weird pockets of the day when we unexpectedly have extra time.

Description

*Fall 2022 this resource got a MAJOR update and is now part of the line of 7 Minute Whiteboard Videos. I have left the original file and that description is at the end.

Have you ever felt overwhelmed and just needed a minute to catch your breath? Have you ever wondered how you could keep your class busy while you worked one-on-one with a student or small group? I know I have and that's why I created 7 Minute Whiteboard Videos. They are ZERO prep! No copies! No early finishers! No grading! The best part is, kids LOVE them!

These videos offer a quick, no-prep review that your students are going to love! Each student needs a whiteboard, marker, and eraser.

This set of videos was designed for students to practice blending sounds. The videos start off with us learning about a terrible tornado that has sucked up letters and spread them everywhere. We will need to go on a drive looking for letters. When we see the letters, we say their sounds. When we reach a stop sign, we must draw a picture of the word the letters will make when they are put together. Students have 30 seconds to draw a picture before we see the letters come together to form the word and we see a picture of the word. Click here to see a preview of this video!

This set includes 3 videos reviewing CvC words.

Kids LOVE 7 Minute Whiteboard Videos because they are engaging and bring lessons to life. Teachers LOVE 7 Minute Whiteboard Videos because they are no prep and keep the whole class focused and occupied. These are terrific for transitions or as a warm-up for lessons, but they also work to keep the class busy while teachers work with small groups, grade papers, write an email, and do the countless other jobs that need to be done throughout the day.

Due to the large file size of videos, this download is a pdf file with a link the the videos on Google Drive.

*Old Description -

FLASH CARDS for today's tech savvy kids! This great PowerPoint reinforces letter names and sounds. As cars "speed" across the screen, kids can shout out the name of the letter or the sound it makes. Say if fast before the car zooms away.

There are three speeds for you to choose from: School Zone - cars appear when you click (go as fast or slow as your kiddos need), 35 MPH Zone -cars cruise automatically at a nice pace for beginning readers, and the Fast Zone - cars speed automatically at a fast pace.

This is a great file to pin to your desktop. You will have it handy anytime you have a few minutes to fill.

Follow me for other "more FLASH less CARDS" activities!
