Book Report Project: Bloom's Taxonomy Poster Project

Book Report Project: Bloom’s Taxonomy Poster: This alternative to boring book reports fosters higher order thinking skills as students analyze either their current independent reading book or a class novel. It will help you meet your required standards by having students ask and answer questions about the text, referring to the text as a basis for their answers. The project can be used multiple times throughout a school year and even multiple times within a single book as an in-class project, a homework assignment, an extra credit assignment, or even a partner project.

PROJECT:
Students choose one question starter from each of the six categories of Bloom’s Taxonomy. They create appropriate questions related to their novel and then answer the questions following the provided rubric. Students write their questions/answers onto provided cards, attach them to a poster, and then add related symbols/scenes to each.
