Budget Your Life for a Month! (Fun end of the year project!)

In this WEBQUEST, students will pick a career and determine their monthly salary. Based on that salary, they will then pick out and pay for a car and a place to live, pay bills, pay for weekend fun activities, etc. Students really get an idea of the kind of life they can afford based on the career they pick for their future! This is a project my students love doing every year!

I usually give them a week+ to complete the project. Then another week or so for them to create a Google Slide project showing off the life they chose and presenting to the class. (Some students will really get into this and work outside of the classroom. Be prepared! : ) **Remind them to save pictures of their house and car for the slideshow!

***Keep in mind the cost of insurance, groceries, etc may be different depending on where you live. Feel free to change it up! Also, I did not account for taxes or student loans. That is a good conversation piece!
