Budgeting/Financial Management Webquest - Distance Learning

This webquest will help students understand the expenses involved in adult life. Students will explore financial management at an individual pace. More advanced students will reach the later sections of the quest, including the "I'm through, what do I do?" anchoring activity. This activity engages students with financial management in a way that connects students' goals to the essential concepts of budgeting.

I like to use this webquest after a career unit, where students receive a hypothetical salary. This project allows students to see how far a dollar goes, and whether this salary will support their intended lifestyle. Of course, you could give all students a random salary to work with, or work based on the national median salary (approx $45,000).
