Bug Science Experiment Recording Sheet Pack

This is a set of recording sheets for a series of Kindergarten science investigations using insects. We used roly polies (AKA pill bugs). Students will investigate whether the bugs prefer to be on light or dark-colored surfaces, wet or dry surfaces, and smooth or rough surfaces. They can document their findings using these recording sheet. This makes a wonderful science fair experiment and is aligned to the Next Generation Science Standards.

NGSS standards addressed include:
Analyzing and Interpreting Data: Use observations (firsthand or from media) to describe patterns in the natural world in order to answer scientific questions. (K-LS1-1)
Patterns: Patterns in the natural and human designed world can be observed and used as evidence. (K-LS1-1)
