What educators are saying

These sub plans are life savers! I have used them several times and students actually enjoy them! They particularly love reading the Eiffel Tower packet because they are shocked that people did not like the Eiffel tower when it was built. Merci!
This was perfect for when I missed the first two days after winter break which were the first two days of a new World Language class. Students enjoyed learning the culture!

Description

Are you a French teacher in a bind? Often, it can be very difficult to make substitute plans for a foreign language class. We want our students to be able to answer the questions without feeling the need to translate. These packets are ready for you to print and go when you are in need of an emergency substitute plan for your French class.

Included in this bundle are my four emergency French sub plans. You get four packets for the price of three. Each packet includes cultural readings in English and include a key. They are perfect for any level of French class. Included in this bundle are:

1. Eiffel Tower: Reading Activities & Substitute Plan for French Class

This packet can be used any time of the year and all of the questions are in English, so you can leave it with a substitute teacher who has no knowledge of French. Students read two articles about the history, facts and statistics about the Eiffel Tower. They then answer questions about the articles. At the end, they design their own tower and can complete a crossword using words and terms from the article.

2. New Year's Eve in France: Reading, Substitute Plan & Activities for French Class

This is a reading passage about the New Year's Eve traditions that are celebrated in France. The reading includes two articles with questions, New Year's Eve related French vocabulary, and a crossword puzzle that follows.

3. Bastille Day: Reading, Activities & Substitute Plan for French Class
