    Description

Drawing translations, reflections, and rotations, graphing ordered pairs on a coordinate plane, labeling the x and y axes, identifying ordered pairs, graphing designs etc. is what students will do through completing these SIX math activities.

These activities can be used as math centers, lessons, assessments, or games. There are both print and digital options in this bundle.

What kind of activities are included:

    - THREE translations, reflections, and rotations (print) math centers where students will create unique and colorful designs (student samples included) AND a related digital transformation activity where students label their grids and create designs using transformations (uses Google Slides)

    - Graphing ordered pairs to create mystery designs on a coordinate plane (3 part print activity)

-Memory card game (matching points on a grid to the ordered pair) and 10 question quiz

    - Math/Social Studies Graphing Extension Activity where students use their knowledge of longitude and latitude to find a mystery location. This includes a print and digital version (digital version uses Google Slides and Google Earth).

    - A Transformations and Cartesian plane test with solutions (this could also be broken up into 3 small assignments)

    - An activity where students use transformations to create an animation (print and digital -uses Google Slides)

Check out more specifics of each by having a peek at the previews.

Verify experimentally the properties of rotations, reflections, and translations:
Understand that a two-dimensional figure is congruent to another if the second can be obtained from the first by a sequence of rotations, reflections, and translations; given two congruent figures, describe a sequence that exhibits the congruence between them.
Describe the effect of dilations, translations, rotations, and reflections on two-dimensional figures using coordinates.
Understand that a two-dimensional figure is similar to another if the second can be obtained from the first by a sequence of rotations, reflections, translations, and dilations; given two similar two-dimensional figures, describe a sequence that exhibits the similarity between them.
