Background: This X-Ray style originated with Norval Morrisseau, an Anishnaabe shaman artist. He has been credited with creating this X-Ray style of art. Many other Indigenous Artists have been influenced by Morrisseau's Woodlands Style of art. Born in Ontario, Morrisseau's subjects were inspired by Indigenous pictographs (drawings on rock.)
