Description
This card sort will prepare 9th and 10th grade physical science and chemistry students to identify and write out the electron configuration of the first 20 elements on the Periodic Table of Elements. This activity includes a digital Easel version online and a cut & paste version and a chart for interactive notebooks.

How it Works
- Students will sort a deck of cards into element names, number of electrons, electron configuration (long and abbreviated versions).
- Students will fill in a chart with the information after you go over the answer.
- Walk around and monitor student progress to check for understanding.
- Have students keep the chart out so you can record this as a daily grade.
