Celebrate the Chinese Year with an easy to make paper lantern craft.
To make the lantern you will need one sheet of 8.5x11 card stock or heavy copy paper for the inside of the lantern, and one 9x11 sheet of red construction paper.
Color with marker, crayons or watercolor paints for a bright colorful way to ring in the new year!
For a quick writing activity, students can write a New Years message inside the lantern, or on the back of the handle paper.
Also includes two pages of photo collage, step-by-step teacher instructions.
