Celebrate the Lunar New Year with the reading passage and comprehension question about the Chinese Myth, The Great Race. This myth explains how the Chinese Zodiac Animals were chosen. Students will then complete a sequencing activity, color a Chinese New Year mystery image, make their own Chinese Zodiac Wheel, and complete a writing assignment about their Chinese Zodiac animal, based upon the year they were born. Product includes to differentiated versions of the sequencing activity and the writing assignment. The Zodiac Craft Wheel has two versions: one in color and one that's black/white. It is easy to assemble. Students cut out the top and bottom wheels, layer the two, and secure with a brass fastener.
