About the Christmas Math Activity
This resource includes a Christmas dinner menu and task cards/questions to accompany the menu. The students will use the Christmas dinner menu to complete the task cards.
There are two versions of the Christmas dinner menu
Decimal Version - Includes a Christmas dinner menu with prices in decimal amounts, two sets of task cards, a challenge printable, and simple forms for the students to take each others’ orders - 5th and 6th Grade Version (and advanced 4th Graders)
Whole Number Version - Includes a Christmas dinner menu with prices in whole numbers less than 10, two sets of task cards, a challenge printable, and simple forms for the students to take each others’ orders 3rd and 4th Grade Version
Here are the different sets of questions that come with the Christmas dinner menu.
•Task Cards: Set 1 - This set is easier and less complicated.
•Task Cards: Set 2 - This set of task cards is all word problems and includes more multi-step problems.
•Challenge Printable - This includes questions that involve multiplication and division of the numbers.
•Taking Order Forms - Let your students take their classmates’ orders and calculate the totals with this simple form. The forms are two to a page, and one form is enough for two orders.
Answer keys are included for each of activities, except for the order forms.
About the Digital Christmas Math Activities
•The digital Christmas menu math activities are available for use with Google Slides. Click here for a step-by-step guide for assigning Google Slides in Google Classroom.
•Recording sheets are not included since the students do all of the work on the slides.
*The content for the digital math activities is the SAME as the printable math activities. It has been modified for optimal digital use and engagement.
