Description

Printable PDF, Google Slides & Easel by TPT Versions are included in this distance learning ready activity which consists of 11 circles that students must find the circumference of. Some circles have a radius while others have a diameter. It is a self-checking worksheet that allows students to strengthen their skills at calculating circumference of circles.

Important Information

• This maze works whether you use 3.14 or the pi key for pi. I purposely picked radii and heights that round to the same whole number regardless of which value you use for pi.

• Not all boxes are used in the maze to prevent students from just guessing the correct route. In order to complete the maze students will have to correctly calculate 8 circumferences.

Distance learning?

  • No problem! This activity now includes Google Slides & Easel by TPT digital options!

Know the formulas for the area and circumference of a circle and use them to solve problems; give an informal derivation of the relationship between the circumference and area of a circle.
Know that numbers that are not rational are called irrational. Understand informally that every number has a decimal expansion; for rational numbers show that the decimal expansion repeats eventually, and convert a decimal expansion which repeats eventually into a rational number.
Use variables to represent quantities in a real-world or mathematical problem, and construct simple equations and inequalities to solve problems by reasoning about the quantities.
Create equations and inequalities in one variable and use them to solve problems.
Know precise definitions of angle, circle, perpendicular line, parallel line, and line segment, based on the undefined notions of point, line, distance along a line, and distance around a circular arc.
