Description

Citizenship & Human-Rights-Smartboard Lesson-The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms

-a tricky concept to teach elementary students, this interactive whiteboard lesson makes it colourful, interesting, and gives visual stimulation

-lesson goes with my "Citizenship & Human Rights Student Booklet", along with several other Smartboard Lessons

-great for teaching concepts prior to completing the corresponding activities in the Student Booklet pages

-first presents/reviews the basic rights and freedoms from the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms for kids (7 slides) , then presents several scenarios with a visual (12 slides, one per page), and students need to guess if a rights is being violated, and if so, guess which RIGHT or FREEDOM is being violated by that particular action.

-can generate much discussion during this lesson
