Description

10 page webquest and teachers key related to the basic history of the Civil Rights Movement in the USA. It contains 44 questions from the history.com website which includes interesting videos and extra information.

Your students will learn about how the Civil Rights Movement impacted society in general and the major contributions it made to the advances in equality rights in the United States. Specifically, your students will learn about how the time led to change in society through a series of important events, such as: Selma March, Sit-ins, March on Washington. As well, this webquest will review the important people associated with the movement, such as: Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr. Overall, your students will appreciate the Civil Rights Movement as a major event in history and the people, events and advances related to it.

The teachers key is detailed and will make marking the webquest or going over it with your students easy and simple.

Would also make a great activity for a substitute or for homework if students have access to the internet at home! A great activity to learn about the overall movement and its relation to American History.
