Description

This lesson introduces the concept of matter as either a pure substance or a mixture. Students examine different types of mixtures found in their everyday lives. Students also have the opportunity to engage in a laboratory inquiry activity in this lesson, which examines the difference between heterogeneous and homogeneous substance. The lesson is designed to meet Alberta Education requirements in Grade 8 science, but can be used and modified to fit your own needs!
