What educators are saying
I'm not sure why I didn't teach basic ASL signs forever ago! Lessons are SO much smoother without students verbally asking if they can get a drink or go to the bathroom and instead they just sign it. I give them a thumbs up or down and that's it!
I love this resource because it teaches my students sign language and minimizes interruptions in the classroom!
Description
Have a student that keeps asking to go to the bathroom while you are reading a book aloud, and you have to stop what you are doing just to tell them yes (or no!)? If this scenario sounds similar, then look no more, your answer is here!
I have been using these hand symbols in my classroom for the past 3 years, and it is a dream. My ELL students LOVE the picture clues, and the entire class loves the ease of this system.
Included are 6 hand signals:
- answer
- question
- comment
- restroom
- water
- me too (I agree)
