Common Core ELA K-12 Spreadsheet / Grid / Database

This Excel spreadsheet contains all five strands of the Common Core Standards for English Language Arts grades K through 12 color-coded for visual reference. All of the standards are arranged both vertically (by grade level) and horizontally (by specific standard, to help you better analyze the learning progression from grade to grade). The spreadsheet is keyword searchable and can be sorted and filtered as needed.

These standards can be found (for free) at http://www.corestandards.org/ELA-Literacy. I find this spreadsheet format extremely helpful, however, for creating checklists and other administrative uses. (For example, I use the spreadsheet as a database to create and print labels, one per standard, that I then affix in my lesson book as I address each standard.) Copy and paste standards into lesson presentations or create classroom posters. I created the spreadsheet to help with lesson development, but I have found dozens of uses for it ever since.
