Description

English reading assessment and vocabulary diagnostic test with answer keys. (Aligned with the Common Core State Standards for reading-literature, reading literary non-fiction, writing, and language skills)

Assess your students reading proficiency with this exam, which includes:
-Short reading passage with 8 multiple choice questions
-Long non-fiction reading passage with 18 multiple choice questions and one writing response
-Seven multiple choice questions over literary elements
-Twenty-one matching of literary elements
-Forty vocabulary in context multiple choice questions (is separate from the rest of the assessment, so can be given at another time)

Also includes a two-page study guide for students.

Easy to grade and assess student's ability. Appropriate for 9th and 10th grades, high school remedial courses (9-12), adult education, and 8th grade (honors or regular), as well. Could be used for a final/semester exam or for standardized test preparation. Uses a literary non-fiction passage and can fulfill Common Core standards.
