Description
This 50 page resource helps students to compare and contrast fiction passages in a variety of ways and provides many no prep resources. Students will compare characters to themselves, compare two characters in a story, compare different versions of a story, compare poems, and more.
Students are asked to compare and contrast using venn diagrams, charts, in writing, and through a variety of questions to assess their comprehension. Students are also asked to compare and contrast within a text, as well as compare and contrast 2 different texts.

This resource includes:
- 2 activities to introduce comparing and contrasting using Venn Diagrams, charts, and paragraph frames
- 1 fiction reading passage where students are asked to compare and contrast themselves with the main character
- 1 fiction reading passage where students are asked to find similarities and differences between the two characters from the same text using a chart
- 2 poems about robins, with activities to help students compare and contrast the 2 poems
- 2 poems written by the same author, with activities to help students find similarities and differences between the two poems.
- 2 reading passages written from a different point of view with a low prep scavenger hunt geared to get students thinking about ways the passages are alike and different
