What educators are saying

I LOVE these! So useful for turning any topic into a game! I especially love to use these for individual intake sessions, and group sessions.
This is a staple resource in my daily practice as a school psychologist during counseling sessions and when getting to know students I’m evaluating. It’s a fun -and engaging way to get to know students. I appreciated how there was even a digital version and game board during distance learning.

Description

These low-prep counseling questions and prompts will work with almost any game you already have – I bet you will use them almost daily at your school! Each set of prompts is coded by number and color. Roll a 5? Respond to prompt #5! Drew a yellow card? Respond to the yellow prompt! Questions/prompts are worded so that they can be answered multiple times during a game without it being repetitive - because repeated practice is what leads to generalization! These are excellent for individual counseling and small group counseling but can also work for class lessons.

Prompt sets (6 repeatable questions) included for the following topics:

• Getting to Know You

• Anger and Worry (same prompts with different wording)

• Coping Skills

• Family Changes (for separation, divorce, new baby, move, incarceration, etc.)

• Positivity

• Choices and Consequences (behavior)

• Study Skills

• Goal Setting

• Friendships

• Social Skills

• Feelings

• (More) Feelings

• Self-Esteem

• Attendance

• Conflict Resolution

• Positive Communication

• Growth Mindset

• Thoughts, Feelings, and Actions/CBT (3 different sets to scaffold understanding of these concepts)

• Breathing Practice

• Body Relaxation

• Termination

• Transitions

• Gratitude

• Positive Affirmations

• Social Support

Resource also includes colorful game board that can be used with any die and player pieces, as well as suggested games.
