Description

Do your students love John Green’s Crash Course videos!?!? Well, this alternative project is inspired by the series and may be used in place of a traditional document based question (DBQ) essay.

After reading a chapter in the textbook, reviewing primary sources, or completing a unit, students will create a “quilt” using index cards. This printable file contains the directions for the front and back of each card. (4” x 6” index cards are recommended.) A rubric and student samples (fronts only) are included.

Use as an option on student choice boards, as a culminating activity, or a partner/group project. Appeal to multiple learning styles.

- Art and graphical representation
Works well with The DBQ Project’s Mini-Qs and other dbqs.
