    Description

    This bundle contains FIFTEEN creative writing products plus extra activities. You can add these creative writing activities to your current plans or use them independently. These creative writing activities include instructions as well as sample answers.

    Over FOURTEEN downloads are in this creative writing bundle:

    1. A narrative writing presentation. Students will learn about the different techniques of narrative writing such as pacing, dialogue, description vivid language, and other tools.

    2. A setting activity. Students will brainstorm different settings and practice approaches to naturally introducing the setting in a narrative, memoir, or other creative piece.

    3. A character activity. Students will practice writing character traits without using direct characterization.

    4. An external conflict activity. Students will practice approaches for revealing an external conflict and then implement various methods.

    5. An expectation presentation. Students appreciate knowing that creative writing will be an endeavor that inspires. Set the stage for success with your community of writers by outlining expectations.

    6. A collaborative brainstorming form. If you need students to brainstorm, collaborate, or work in groups, this digital form allows for various uses.

    7. A superhero comic book creation. Students will create a comic book and write a marketing plan for their book.

    8. A pacing activity. Students will practice different approaches for pacing their own narratives with this activity.

    9. A theme activity. Students will understand the importance and detailed work into slowly revealing the theme of a narrative.

    10. An imagery activity. By practicing different methods of adding imagery in this activity, students can then add imagery to their own narratives.

    11. A mentor sentence activity that uses children's books as inspiration. Picture books and children's books have beautiful language. Use these one pagers for students to discover and analyze language from any picture book.

    12. Narrative writing prompts. These work well as bell ringers, but they will work in a variety of ways.

    13. A tabloid activity. Have your students write a clean tabloid about a children's story. Loads of flexibility in this narrative activity!

    14. A historical writing activity. Add research to your creative writing class and write about a historic event or person.
