What educators are saying
This was a great early-finisher resource for my students after state testing. They enjoy working on it so much that I see it in use throughout the school day.
I wanted my students to have an easy access packet to practice their cursive and this was perfect!! Thank you so much!!
Description
How the cursive portfolio is broken down: This resource was intended to help facilitate a four-day handwriting workshop for elementary and middle school students who spent two hours per day working through the alphabet. Feel free to ignore the “Day” markers at the bottom of each page. I only used this to monitor my students’ alphabet progress as they were required to cover the entire alphabet in one (four-day) week. There are also appendixes in the back that helped students toward their final handwriting assignment, which was to write a letter to someone completely in cursive. This could be used as supplemental practice instead of daily instruction.
Everyday classroom use: Although I created this resource strictly for a handwriting workshop, what I love about this booklet is that it is pretty self-paced. Students work steadily through the alphabet and also practice writing letters. If they don’t finish the section for that day, they can pick up right where they left off another time without missing anything. I may use this in my own classroom this year as an multi-day emergency sub plan or even to keep throughout the year as a supplemental portfolio to work through when all other work has been completed for the day.
