Daily Gratitude Journal - 186 Prompts for Positivity *PDF

This gratitude journal is full of unique and original questions that will have students reflecting on every aspect of their lives in a positive way. Each question is meant to immediately create positive emotions and bring out thankfulness, self-awareness, and self-esteem, in students.

As there are 186 questions, this journal could be used in class daily covering an entire school year, with 10 extra prompts. Each prompt will take about 2 - 8 minutes for students to answer.

All questions are directed towards upper elementary, middle school, and high school students. Most questions would work with grade 3-5 as well, but some may be too complex.

With enough space remaining on the left sides of sheets, these journals could be constructed by students using string to tie together the pages through 3 hole-punched holes.

Examples of questions:

Write about an adult you know that has a really cool life. How is their life cool? Do you think your life could be like this in the future?

What's your favourite part of the day that you get to do every single day?

What part of today are you the most excited for? How many hours until you get to experience this?

When is the most connected you have ever felt to another person?

Who is someone you have a hard time getting along with? List at least 3 positive things to say about this person.

What could you imagine as being the best days of your future life? List 3 special days.
